Meet The Team
Dr. Melissa Yuen
Dr. Melissa Yuen opened Dr. Yuen Optometry in 2015. She is proud to provide eye care to patients in her hometown of Toronto and brings a rich background of education and experience having completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto and then went to Aston University in the United Kingdom to study Optometry. She gained valuable experience in disease management through her externship at Oxford Eye Hospital. Upon her return to Canada, she completed a bridging program at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Yuen enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She is passionate about educating patients about the importance of checking eye health regularly and is committed to providing comprehensive eye exams to all her patients. Her special interests are pediatrics and disease management.
Dr. Ekow Hughes
Dr. Ekow Hughes completed his Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo and obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry. He is passionate about Vision Therapy and aims to help patients get better visual performance through eye exercises.
Dr. Emma Karlin
Dr. Emma Karlin obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Western University and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. Upon graduating, Dr. Karlin completed a Vision Therapy and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Residency in New Jersey, where she gained extensive experience managing binocular vision conditions in both adults and children. Dr. Karlin strives to provide her patients with both clear and comfortable vision. She is passionate about addressing the visual needs of her patients and caring for their eye health.
Dr. Mahwash Rajput
Dr. Mahwash Rajput completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Manitoba and studied Optometry at City University in the United Kingdom. She is passionate about discussing with patients their visual needs and is particularly interested in ocular disease.
